In Which I Re-lay the Foundations of My Treatment Room Floor

One of the starting points in the creation of Queen Bee Beautiful was the vision of the treatment room - the space - I wanted to create — and every vision begins with a feeling of where you want to go. From there, you must build the foundation.

The more I strive towards my goals in life, the more I realise the importance of a solid foundation. Without one, dreams and aspirations simply evaporate into vapour.

The word foundation originates from the Latin fundatio — “a founding” — and fundare, meaning “to lay a bottom or base.” It entered the English language in the 14th century through the Old French fondacion, always rooted in the idea of establishing something strong and lasting.

Your foundation is what enables you to move towards any goal. It is built through the knowledge you acquire, the intention you hold, and the faith you develop within yourself.

This room had to embody intention, purpose, practicality, and peace. I couldn’t find that space on the high street, so I created it for myself. From this room, I hear the birds outside echoing around me.

Ultimately, it gave me the self-determination and independence I craved without compromise and on my terms.

For as much as I enjoy collaboration and connection, I love independence more.

It doesn’t matter if someone tells you that you are ready — that you have everything you need, that it is good enough. What matters is whether you believe it yourself. Whether you feel satisfied that you are ready, even if all you are ready for is the leap of faith.

It is believing it. Feeling it within your being. Not because someone else says you are ready —but because you know you are.

Now I am ready.

I believe it.

I feel it.

I can see it.

I learned to wait patiently for this beautiful new floor - the foundation to my working life - thank you for waiting patiently for me too. The doors are open again to welcome you.
